Catalonia
is in the north-eastern corner of the Iberian Peninsula,

Its major assets are its sunny beaches
and unbeatable gastronomy. Furthermore, thanks to its good
climate, Sant Carles de la Rapita offers its visitors a
great variety of activities and excursions. The waters of
Alfacs Bay is the ideal spot for water sports such as sailing,
windsurfing, water-skiing, wakeboard and fishing.
The area surrounding the bay, which contains
some large lagoons and long sandy beaches, is one of the
most important aquatic habitats on the Mediterranean and
has been declared a Nature Park. The cuisine in this area
is rich and varied. It is based on the many local ingredients
provided by farming, hunting and fishing, and the fish and
shellfish specialities here are famed for their excellent
quality.
From Sant Carles de la Rapita, you can
admire the attractions offered by the "Serra de Montsia"
(Montsia mountain range). "La Foradada", one of
its highest points, has one of the most privileged views
over the Ebro Delta, a unique habitat in the Mediterranean,
and a place that demands a visit.
