Citrus Iberia International Property Management Services
Dear Debbie,

Hi - a belated a Happy New Year to you all. With the advent of a new year, Citrus Iberia has new staff. Luis departed the company to venture into pastures new, and our two new staff are now in place - Coral, our Rental Advisor, and myself Julie, Sales advisor. Debbie is still here as Boss, managing the company and keeping us all in order. The team works well together and we are sure that the feeling of wellbeing that we generate will descend to all our customers and clients.

Snow on the Costa Blanca!

I live locally and have the opportunity to exercise by walking to the office every morning. Coral lives in Calpe and as she is not a long distance runner, drives in with her boyfriend who also works in the Valley. Mind you, walking would have been difficult last week due to the snow we have had!!!!!. Yes snow. The coldest weather for 20 years for this area was recorded last week. The lowest temperature was - 12. Traffic was brought to a standstill on the main costal road the N332. Up to 200 cars were abandoned for up to 36 hours.

Meanwhile in the Valley and surrounding areas the orange and lemon trees were laden in fruit with 3 inches of snow. Frozen fruit growing on trees, somehow I donīt think it will catch on. Having looked at past newsletters I can see I have started this issue in true Citrus Iberia style, with a weather update. Debbie is no longer the " Michael Fish " of the Jalon Valley.

Winter sun breaks

Now the snow has passed, the surrounding costal areas are still bathed in sunshine with holiday makers sunbathing on the beaches at Denia ,and further South in Alicante and Torrevieja.

Although we have properties for rent from Gandia along the coast as far as La Manga, the booking season has really kicked off this year and the majority of our properties are now rented for July and August, with many enquiries coming in for other months as well. Compared to enquiries this time last year, we are sure that our owners can look forward to a good return on their investments. This could be due to one of two things (or both), more holiday makers visiting Spain this year, or our increased advertising. We now have advertising brochures on our website at http://www.spanishvillas- rentals.com , as well as other top holiday rentals websites such as www.choosespain.com and www.thinkspain.com giving you the opportunity to reach a worldwide audience, plus we advertise our rentals services in local papers here on the Costa Blanca. We also have an advert in Exclusive holiday homes magazine in the UK. Getting bookings for your property is as important to us as it is to you - no bookings, no fee!!
